Our skin is a network of the fibers that keep the skin structure intact and prevent from fine lines that usually cause due to the disturbance in this texture of the fibers. The collagen structure along with these fibers helps the skin to remain firm and smooth. Our skin is usually made up of three layers. The upper layer is the epidermis that forms the skin the plays a role in holding the moisture and the oil within the skin.


The epidermis in followed by the dermis that makes up nearly 90% of the skin thickness. The major type of proteins that is embedded in the dermis is collagen and elastin that provides the skin with strength and elasticity. Just beneath the epidermis and dermis there lays a layer of fats that serves like a cushion and resists any type of shock and friction. It acts as a protective insulator and renders the skin to become smooth and soft.

It has been observed that our facial skin becomes more affected to aging then the rest of the body skin. The facial skin is very much sensitive and very often gets affected and results into aging. There are many such factors that cause aging.

Environmental factors like sun ray’s, acid rain, climate changes, etc adversely affect the skin quality. The environmental pollution containing harmful chemical particles, toxins, enters the skin pores and affects the skin quality resulting into aging. These particles disrupt the collagen network and in turn cause the skin to age.

Always avoid dehydrating agents like cigarette smoking (inhaled or secondhand); excess alcohol consumption that will cause loss of moisture of the skin and the skin will get sagged down. This can be prevented by consequently washing your face and cleaning it with good natural cleansers. You can protect your skin by regularly applying sun scream of appropriate SPF coating on your skin.

Unhealthy eating, poor lifestyle also leads to the aging of skin. Our diet should contain sufficient vitamins and nutrition that will contribute in the improvement in quality skin and will also increase the resistant power of the skin cells to fight aging. Avoid use of harsh and detergent based soap as it will spoil the skin pH and destroy the smooth cells of the skin.

In order to get good, smooth and beautiful skin, one should keep away from stress and overload of tension that may stimulate our skin cells to work inadequately that may give rise to fine lines. After the whole day’s work along with our body our skin requires also requires being relaxed.

As our facial skin works and is in continuous use then other muscles of the body. For this the best thing is to have complete sound sleep that will help the skin to restore the moisture in strength. The effective to keep your skin moist is to drink plenty of water and apply good moisturizers daily and especially before going to bed.

Therefore to maintain good and beautiful young skin one is required to keep these things in mind.
